Shipping container delivery worldwide

We deliver new and used shipping containers to the USA, Europe and Asia. Every order comes with a written quote that shows the container price, the delivery method and the estimated timeline, so you know the full cost before you commit.

Delivery options

Local depot delivery

For buyers near one of our depots. The container is trucked straight to your site, usually the quickest option when the unit is in stock.

Port-to-port shipping

We ship the container to the port nearest you. You or your freight forwarder handle customs clearance and the final leg. This is often the most economical option for international orders.

Door-to-door delivery

We arrange the sea freight, and the transport from the destination port to your address. Customs and import duties are discussed in your quote so nothing is a surprise.

How delivery works

  1. Request a quote. Tell us the size, the condition (new or used) and where it needs to go.
  2. Review your written quote. It shows the price, what is included, the delivery method and the estimated timeline.
  3. Confirm your order. Once payment terms are agreed, we reserve or prepare your container.
  4. We arrange transport. That means trucking, sea freight or both, depending on the option you chose.
  5. Receive and check your container. You are notified before arrival so you can prepare for unloading.

How long does delivery take?

The timeline depends on four things: whether the container is in stock near you, the shipping route, the time of year, and customs clearance at the destination.

  • Local deliveries from a depot can usually be arranged within days to a couple of weeks.
  • International sea freight usually takes several weeks from order to arrival.
  • Your quote states the estimated timeline for your order, and we tell you early if anything changes.

What is included in your quote

  • The container price for the size and condition you chose
  • The delivery method (local, port-to-port or door-to-door)
  • The shipping terms that apply, such as FOB, CIF or delivered to your door
  • The estimated timeline and payment terms
  • Which costs are not included, such as import duties, taxes and port charges at your end

Not sure what a shipping term means? Ask us to explain it in plain language before you confirm.

Prepare your site for delivery

Containers arrive on a long truck, so check the site before delivery day.

  • Access: make sure the road, gates and any overhead lines allow a long vehicle to reach the drop-off point.
  • Ground: choose firm, level ground. Soft or sloping ground can make unloading unsafe.
  • Space: leave enough clear room for the truck to position itself and, if needed, for the container to be tilted or lifted off.
  • Unloading: tell us if you need the container placed by crane or forklift, or if the truck will slide or tilt it off.
  • Permits: check with your local authority whether you need permission to place a container on your land or on a public road.

Customs and import paperwork

Most international shipments need a commercial invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading and a customs declaration. Duties, taxes and rules for used containers vary by country, so your local customs broker or freight forwarder can confirm exactly what your destination requires.

When your container arrives

Check the container before the driver leaves. Look at the doors, seals, walls and roof, and compare the container number with your paperwork. Take photos and tell the driver and us about any damage straight away, so we can help resolve it quickly.
